We are a small but dedicated group of people who got together to organise the small festival that would facilitate a kinetic, visual and audible engagement with butoh, one that is speaking to the mind and the body equally through performance, open workshops, talk and film screening. What is Butoh? Butoh is a contemporary dance form originated in Japan in the 1960s, in the aftermath of the nuclear bombing and the destruction caused. Butoh is described as a profoundly humane art form, speaking from soul to soul, where the dancers create archetypical images through movement, which are not bound to codified shapes. In Butoh, we can witness the beauty of creation and decay, experience silence and explore many forms of human expressions. What are we asking you for? We have invited exciting dance and theatre artists offering their performances, workshops, film and talks to the audience, many of them as Irish theatre premieres. The artists we would like to invite hail from Ireland, Austria, Japan, Finland, France and Germany to share their work with you. This beginner Scarab has been equipped with a light-weight FPV setup using the CarbonBird camera and a 200mw 5.8Ghz FPV video transmitter inside the dome. The FPV gear only adds a few ounces of weight but makes the Stealth Armour one hell of a FPV machine! The little Scarab Stealth is fast and sturdy with the 1220KV motors and Paris v.4 board. A 3s 2200 battery easily gives 10 minute flights and lots of power. This video was edited from just a single flight and recorded using the CarbonBird.com BlockBox FPV DVR. The Blackbox is a great for recording the down-link FPV video, to make videos like this! I can't wait to fly this little Scarab again!
November 'Burn Our Clothes' Tour mash up.DLR Planetary researchers generate a new model of the Moon Although the Moon is so far the only celestial body other than Earth on which a human being has ever walked, the topography of its surface has not been studied comprehensively. This is why NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) has been orbiting the Moon since June 2009, using a wide-angle camera to digitally record its cratered surface. Using a total of 70000 images, researchers at the German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR) have now created a digital 3D model of the Moon with unprecedented accuracy and completeness. The video shows a number of virtual flights over the surface of Earth's satellite. The landing sites of Apollo 11, 12 and 14 are located centrally in a region depicted in tranquil blue. In these colour-coded 3D images of the lunar surface, blue is used to indicate low-lying flat ground. It was not until the later missions that the US became more adventurous in the choice of a landing site. For example, the astronauts on the Apollo 15 and 17 missions were sent into regions of the Moon that posed a much greater challenge. In the model created by the DLR Institute of Planetary Research in Berlin-Adlershof, these areas are depicted in green -- indicating that these regions are at a slightly higher elevation, and are not as flat as those used for the earlier Moon landings. Shuttle Orbiter Enterprise was the first of NASA's space shuttles. Its original name, "Constitution", commemorated the United States Bicentennial in 1976, but a campaign led by dedicated fans of the television series "Star Trek" led President Gerald R. Ford to request that NASA change the name to "Enterprise". The shuttle flew eight captive flights on the back of a 747 to evaluate its systems in a flight environment, and five free flights tested its ability to approach a runway and land safely. With the conclusion of the space shuttle program, Enterprise and the rest of the shuttle fleet will be permanently displayed around the country. This latest Astro Bulletin from the American Museum of Natural History's Science Bulletins program is on display in the Hall of the Universe until June 15, 2012.
